Lead by Professor Cindy Hales, a legend in women’s Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Mixed Martial Arts. Professor Cindy holds not only Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu titles and medals, but is also a part of the Women’s “Dirty Dozen”, which is a select group of women who were the first BJJ practitioners to be promoted to the rank of Black Belt outside of Brazil. She is also a former MMA champion where she is viewed as a pioneer in Women’s MMA and has paved the way for today’s modern class of women fighters. Cindy’s leadership, patience, understanding, and inspiration has built champions on and off the mat starting at a very young age.
Prof. Dave Hawley
Professor Dave Hawley’s leadership, attention to detail and constant focus on the fundamentals of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu has made him an important part of the team at Gracie Barra Kirkland. Professor Dave is constantly on the mat helping Professor Cindy run Kids and Adults classes, or is managing the business operations of the school as the full-time Program Director.
