Programs
Tiny Champs (3-7)
Little Champs (8-11)
Juniors (12-15)
Adults
Our youngest — and most energetic — students begin their jiu-jitsu journey in this fun, engaging class. Through age-appropriate games, drills, and activities, children are introduced to fundamental movements, basic techniques, and the core values of jiu-jitsu, including respect, discipline, and confidence.
This program helps build coordination, focus, and self-confidence while ensuring every class is educational and exciting.
Your child must be potty trained and out of diapers to participate. Classes are 45 minutes.
Our Little Champs program is designed for children ages 8 to 11 who are ready to take their jiu-jitsu training to the next level. Students learn a wider range of self-defense skills and jiu-jitsu techniques while developing confidence and discipline.
Our goal is to instill self-discipline, personal responsibility, and respect while helping students improve their physical awareness, coordination, and problem-solving abilities.
Classes place a strong emphasis on positional sparring, technical development, and teamwork.
Our Juniors program is designed to help students build the confidence, discipline, and technical skills they need to continue growing in jiu-jitsu into adulthood.
In these classes, we emphasize focus, problem-solving, self-control, teamwork, and technical development. Students learn how to manage their emotions, take responsibility for their actions, and approach challenges with maturity both on and off the mat.
Some of our juniors also assist with younger kids’ classes, giving them valuable leadership experience and a greater sense of responsibility.
If you are a beginner, we encourage you to attend 2-3 of our fundamentals classes for at least the first 6 weeks. They take place Mondays (11 am), Tuesdays (6:30 pm NoGi) Wednesdays (5:30 p.m.) and Saturdays (noon).
Some of our other classes are also beginner friendly, including our 11 am sessions on Tue/Thu and 6:30 am sessions on Wednesday. Members cannot attend the positional sparring class unless they are a 2-stripe white belt.
We offer advanced jiu jitsu classes on Mondays at 6 p.m., Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. and wrestling on Thursdays at 6:30 p.m.Â
NoGi
Women's Only
Our NoGi program is led by American Nationals Champion Joshua Bacallao, a third-degree black belt, and is the perfect complement to the gi programs offered by the academy. The curriculum focuses more specifically on the situations and positions found in NoGi jiu jitsu, helping you become a more complete grappler. We incorporate leg locks into our NoGi classes and lots of standup.Â
We have three women’s-only session per week: NoGi on Wednesdays at 3:30 pm, fundamentals on Fridays at 5:30 p.m. with Prof. Solange Reyner and NoGi on Sundays with Coach Laura Hendrickson. Young girls are also permitted to attend these sessions. If your significant other or child attends our school you can come to this class at no cost. Otherwise, it’s $10 per session.
